TV Theory is an independent site about fan theories and narrative analysis for popular television. We dig into the second story under the surface one — the foreshadowing, the structure, the loose threads — and try to say something genuinely useful about where a show might be going and why.
We're not a wiki and we're not a recap mill. Every piece is researched and written by a person, edited for accuracy and voice, and grouped by show so the arguments build on each other. We'd rather publish ten strong theories about a series than a hundred thin ones.
How we work
Theories are clearly framed as theories. We flag spoilers, separate what's on screen from what's speculation, and update pieces when a show gives us new evidence. If we get something wrong, tell us — corrections are welcome and we act on them.
The confidence meter
Most theory pieces carry a reader "confidence meter": you can vote a theory plausible or debunked and see how the room is leaning. It's one vote per reader, no account required, and it works without giving up your identity — there are no comment threads to moderate, just the signal.
Supporting the site
TV Theory is reader-first. Some links — typically "where to watch" or a relevant book or box set — are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only add them where they're genuinely useful, and they're always disclosed on the page. See our privacy policy for how we handle data, and our terms for the ground rules.
